  • Stargate

    Torbogen Luzern, Bahnhofplatz, Lucerne, Switzerland

The stargate brought us to the threshold of the future, fast as light in a rhythmic dance, light as a magic golden night, light as a yellow lily! We came through the archway in sunshine, sat in the stillness of the night air, and will wait for the past in anticipation! Light like a spell in a mysterious time.

  • Legendary Mythsssss

    Franziskanerpl. 4, 6003 Luzern, Switzerland

Symbols from local legends and tails are peeling of the side wall of the gothic church to capture the eye of the spectators and take them on a journey through fantasy filled land where Lucerne becomes the centre of the whole action. Almost symmetrical composition of the projection is centred around a tree that becomes a character, a narrator of our little story. From the beginning the movement of the tree is altered by the projection and used to emulate particles, objects and characters from the local legends. The main subjects that will play with the facade of the building will be lantern as a symbol of the city. A dragon symbolising the dragon that crashed into the Pilatus and dropped blood in form of dragon stone, some of the key buildings of the city and also the tree itself.

The edge between art and design is the sweet spot to be in.

  • Flower Power

    Mühlenpl., 6004 Luzern, Switzerland

Spectaculaires' original creation brings a carnival atmosphere to the Mühlenplatz. We use giant disco balls shaped into 5 beautiful flowers that create thousands of glowing dots everywhere in the dark – like a dance of confetti. The abundance of reflections creates a surreal, immersive atmosphere. The light reflected in the various facets of the disco balls illuminates both the facades of the buildings and the entire square. The various lighting effects set the square in different moods. A special soundtrack created by Izorel matches the lighting effects and transports visitors into an immersive 4-season atmosphere.

We bring the Mühlenplatz into carnival mode with 5 giant discoball flowers projecting colourful light.

  • Jump!

    Kornmarkt 3, 6004 Luzern, Switzerland

After the snowball installation Shake it! in 2019 and the snowball fight Hit! 2020 at the Lilu Light Festival Lucerne, Jump! completes a trilogy that tells interactive stories around the theme of winter. A trampoline on which visitors can jump serves as an interface. The more courageously the person jumps, the higher projected figures such as the snowman, the swan, the rabbit and new virtual figures are lifted into the air and the crazier the whole game becomes. The artists François Chalet (animation), Michael Flückiger (creative coding) and Mathias Vetter (music) developed Jump! together.

Circles and Squares is a collaboration between the Lucerne School of Music, Lucerne School of Design & Art and the Lilu Light Festival Lucerne. • Der Vögel täglich Brot

    Kapellpl. 5, 6004 Luzern, Switzerland

Chased by seagulls, pecked by crabs and fished out of the water by ducks, we experience the journey of a loaf of bread that has accidentally fallen into Lake Lucerne. Much sought after by Lucerne's waterfowl, the fight for small pieces of the bread begins. The bread moves from beak to beak, through the colourful underwater world and cityscape of Lucerne, all the way to St. Peter's Chapel itself. Finally, the last piece of bread finds its way to Moritz, the seagull, who stubbornly defended his share. But the joy over the precious morsel lasts only for a short time, as bread is difficult to digest for almost all bird species. This is also the case for poor Moritz, who does not feel well at all after eating the bread. Only one thing helps. After Moritz has relieved himself with a violent jerk, he flies away, while his little legacy finds its way onto the head of Justus, who lost the bread at the beginning of the projection.

Salt and bread threatening bird health?

So he has been lying in his pit for years, in the middle of a jungle of rocks. You would think he had already forgotten his wild and colourful home. It is high time for a new coat of paint. Our interactive installation is a call for more colour and movement so that the lion finally roars again.
